Privacy Policy

This privacy policy pertains to the content and information you provide on Truuze. We are committed to empowering you with control over your information and content. It is important to review and assess this policy both during sign-up and whenever it is updated. You will receive notifications via email (if provided) regarding policy revisions so that you can decide whether to continue under the updated terms. This concise privacy policy seeks to clarify the agreement between users and Truuze regarding personal information and content.

1. Personal Information

Upon sign-up, we request basic personal information that helps identify you to other users and facilitates communication. Depending on your access settings, this information is visible to the Truuze community. Basic user information includes Full Name, Gender, Birthdate, Country, City/State, Work, and Workplace. We collect data relevant solely to enhancing your experience on Truuze. By using our service and creating a profile, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your profile data.

Data Retention: We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. You have the authority to access, modify, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. However, some information may be retained in backup copies for a period, even after deletion, to comply with legal obligations.

2. High Profile Visibility

Your High Profile consists of detailed information about you, which you can choose to provide. Users can visit your High Profile to learn more about you, subject to your chosen visibility settings. You have the option to limit who can visit your High Profile or opt out of filling it altogether. Go to High Profile in your account settings to set your preferred visibility options.

3. Content Access

Some of the content you bring to Truuze is stored in daybooks, including texts, pictures, videos, and audios. Your daybooks are voiced to all of your listeners, meaning all content within them can be viewed by your listeners. If you prefer not to voice your daybook to specific listeners, you can shun them; refer to the next section for details.

Saving Content: Users can save your photos, videos, and audios using the functionalities within the app. You can customize who can save your files according to your preferences. To adjust these settings, visit File Persistence in your account settings.

4. Discoverability

You have control over who can discover and contact you on Truuze. By default, anyone with a Truuze account can message you. To adjust this setting, go to Message in your account settings. However, users whom you are listening to can always send you messages unless you block or shun them.

You can also manage who can view your online status by navigating to Online Status in your account settings. Additionally, you can choose whether to send message read receipts in your conversations by visiting Read Receipts.

We allow users to tag you in daybooks related to you, but you can customize this feature to suit your preferences. To learn how to limit who can tag you in daybooks, go to Tag in your account settings. You can also control who can view your listeners and listening list. For more options, visit Settings & Privacy in your account.

If you no longer want someone as your listener, you can navigate to their profile and shun them. Similarly, if you wish to end or avoid interaction with a particular user, you can block their account, making your account invisible to them until you unblock.

5. Manipulating Personal Information and Content

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information and content at any time through your account settings and the tools provided for managing your content. Please note that while you may delete your information or content, we may retain it in a non-visible form to other users of the Truuze community for a period of time as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or for other legitimate business purposes in accordance with our data retention policies.

6. User Information and Content Disclosure

Your information and content may be disclosed in response to legal requests, which are limited and exceptional. In the event of Truuze being transferred to a new party, your information and content will be managed by the new party, ensuring continuity of privacy standards.

7. Advertisements

Truuze may use your profile information to display relevant advertisements that align with your interests, enhancing the relevance and effectiveness of the ads you see. By using our service, you acknowledge and consent to the use of your profile information for the purpose of delivering personalized advertisements.

8. Security Measures

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. All sensitive data is encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology during transmission. Access to your personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who are required to keep the information confidential.
